AnnouncedMicrosoft adds AI-powered phishing detection to Teams messages
Microsoft announced AI-powered phishing detection in Teams messages, rolling out to targeted users in early November 2026 with general availability expected by early to mid‑December 2026. The feature analyzes conversation context without retaining message content to spot phishing, social engineering, impersonation and deceptive intent.
Why it matters
Plan product updates that incorporate context‑aware phishing alerts; users will expect Teams to flag suspicious messages.
