Open-source tool unlocks Nvidia GPU AI limiter on Windows

An open-source UEFI tool called nv-uefi-unlocker removes Nvidia’s tensor rate cap on RTX 20, 30, and 40-series GPUs under Windows. The tool runs from a USB stick before Windows loads and must be executed on each boot.

Why it matters

Note that users can bypass Nvidia’s tensor rate cap with nv-uefi-unlocker, so benchmark AI workloads assuming full tensor throughput.
